Topcoat serves seafood processors, commercial kitchens, caterers and commercial facilities in Boston and Greater Boston with urethane cement, epoxy, MMA and mechanically polished concrete.
Topcoat Services, based in Hyannis, serves food processing, commercial kitchen, retail, office and industrial facilities in Boston and Greater Boston. Much of our Boston work is urethane cement in wet, cold and washdown areas, planned around how the space operates and when it must reopen.
To start, send the address, approximate area, photos, how the space is used and cleaned, and the date it must reopen. We assess the slab and recommend a system.

Topcoat installed a two-tone blue urethane cement floor through the processing room, corridor and walk-in cooler, with cove base and curbs at the cooler doors and the floor finished to the trench drains. We returned in 2026 for a 1,457-square-foot urethane cement floor on the second floor.

Topcoat ground the existing floor coating, laid out screeds to set a level oven landing and the pitch to the drain, filled and troweled the slope, then installed Polycrete SLB with a Colorfast topcoat and gray cove.

Other Boston work includes urethane cement kitchen floors for Max Caterers in Dorchester and 6,119 square feet of concrete polishing on a second floor and loft space in South Boston.
The right floor depends on water, temperature, cleaning, traffic and how long the space can close.

Slope to drains, trench drain edges, cove base and curbs are planned as part of the floor.
Cold rooms and the doorways between temperatures need detailing at curbs and transitions.
Rolling loads affect joint repairs, edges at drains and the choice of system.
We plan the sequence and cure time around when the kitchen or plant must return to service.

Yes. We serve Boston and Greater Boston from our base in Hyannis. Boston work includes urethane cement floors for Rocky Neck Fish on the Boston Fish Pier, Commonwealth Kitchen in Dorchester and Max Caterers in Dorchester. Send the address, area and photos to arrange an assessment.
Wet, cold and washdown rooms often suit urethane cement, detailed with cove base, curbs and edges at the drains. At Rocky Neck Fish we installed urethane cement with an aliphatic urethane topcoat. We review temperatures, cleaning and traffic before recommending a build.
Often, yes. At Commonwealth Kitchen in Dorchester, our crew set screeds to create a level oven landing and pitch the rest of the floor to the drain, then installed Polycrete SLB urethane cement. Whether a slope can be corrected depends on the existing floor and drain locations.
Often, yes. We divide the floor into work zones, plan access, equipment moves and ventilation, and schedule each zone around the cure time the system needs. The plan is agreed with your team before work starts and depends on the selected system.
The area, the slab condition, the coating that must come off, slope and drain work, cove base and curbs, the selected system, access, phasing and the reopening date. A site assessment lets us price the actual conditions rather than a general rate.
Tell us about the space, how it is cleaned and when work can take place.
