Cape Cod Hospital: Concrete Repair and Parking-Deck Waterproofing

Water Intrusion Through an Existing Parking Deck

The parking deck required concrete repairs and a waterproofing system to address leakage affecting the emergency department below. The work needed to address the deteriorated areas and prepare the deck for the new traffic-bearing system.

Repairing the Concrete Before Waterproofing

Topcoat completed full-depth repairs in the designated areas and prepared the deck for the specified waterproofing system. Addressing the damaged concrete formed an essential part of the restoration before the new system was installed.

The concrete repair and surface preparation work established the substrate conditions needed for the coating application. This stage required attention to the repair areas and the interfaces between the existing concrete and the new work.

A Traffic-Bearing Waterproofing System for the Deck

Following repair and preparation, Topcoat installed Neogard Auto-Gard FC across the parking deck. The project combined concrete restoration with a waterproofing system intended for vehicular traffic. Learn more about our traffic coatings.
